[JUST IN]: Family physicians will be allowed to treat mildly symptomatic Covid-19-positive patients through a new protocol previously reserved only for the asymptomatic.

GPs will be able to make an immediate diagnosis via an antigen rapid test (ART), and require self-isolation for at least 72 hours, after which the patient can resume normal activity with a negative ART result.

Existing safe management and social distancing measures will also remain throughout the Chinese New Year period, Minister Lawrence Wong added.
