After pandemic setback, RedDoorz CEO aims for IPO in 2024

For Amit Saberwal, the founder and chief executive officer of the Singapore-based hotel company and hospitality brand, Covid-19 proved to be a defining moment in his career.

"We lost 40 per cent of our workforce — 1,400 employees came down to 900," he said. "But when the fire was over, we started to focus on our long-term strategy by paying greater attention to our ancillary services such as renting our unused space, and charging for Wi-Fi use and early check-ins and late check-outs."

This would form a completely new income stream for RedDoorz.
