US woman held hostage saved after failing to share Wordle score
80-year-old Denyse Holt's eldest daughter, who lives in Seattle, first noticed something was amiss when her Chicago-based mother did not send her daily Wordle score. She called the Chicago police, who conducted a check on Holt and discovered she was locked in her own basement by a naked man wielding a pair of scissors.
