SMS ID registry loopholes plugged; service providers take steps to prevent spoofing
Checks by The Business Times last week found that at least one of the means of eluding the registry no longer works, possibly because message aggregators have tightened their processes.
But some overseas vendors and aggregators continue to pose a weak link, and many small companies are also unlikely to be able to afford the high cost of joining Singapore's registry.
