Restaurants hit by slowdown, temporary closures as Omicron bites
Since Chinese New Year, cancellations and no-shows have become the norm as diners test positive for Covid on their reservation dates or have dining companions who became ill.
Restaurants were also hit by loss of revenue when they voluntarily closed after their staff were infected. Most close for 1 or 2 days for disinfection, but others such as Saint Pierre, Zen and Ruth's Chris Steak House closed for 4 to 8 days.
