US regulators may soon be allowed full access to auditing reports of the 200-plus Chinese firms listed in New York, but experts who spoke to BT say auditing in China is completely unique, and unlike auditing in Western developed economies — all of which means "let the buyer beware' when investing in Chinese firms.
