Up to S$364,500 of election deposits could be forfeited, if sample counts hold

If the final result is similar to the sample counts, 27 candidates across five constituencies will lose their deposits. The total sum at risk stands at S$364,500.

Candidates' election deposits – S$13,500 per candidate, unchanged from GE2020 – will be forfeited if they do not get more than 12.5% of the valid votes in their constituency.

Those at risk of losing their deposits are:

Ang Mo Kio GRC (five-member): SUP 11%, PPP 10%
Tampines GRC (five-member): PPP 1%, NSP 0%
Sembawang GRC (five-member): NSP 2%
Potong Pasir SMC: PAR 8%
Radin Mas SMC: PAR 7%
