🎥 Donald Trump meets Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing

US President Donald Trump met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing for talks against a backdrop of geopolitical unrest and trade tensions on Thursday (May 14).

Mr Xi shook hands with several US officials, including Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was known throughout his career as a fierce opponent of Beijing.
