As AI reshapes entry-level work, fresh grads must prepare for the ‘third-year job’: panel
With fresh graduates expected to enter the workforce already equipped with the relevant experience, universities need to focus on preparing students for the “third-year job”, said Professor Lily Kong, president of SMU.
This is especially if the first two years are going to be “taken over by agentic AI” or other technologies, she noted.
