Beyond beaches or Bali: Singapore’s push for urban wellness tourism
“Bali, Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai offer things we don’t: nature, space, lower cost, a spiritual or retreat atmosphere," says Christopher Khoo, managing director of tourism consultancy MasterConsult Services.
"But Singapore has a differentiated value proposition. We should start with urban wellness. We shouldn’t hide away from what we are: a clean, safe, hyper-efficient city,” he adds.
