​​Median BTC transaction fees have shown two significant correlations to Bitcoin events during 2020. As BTC's price rapidly dropped in March, the commission had been on average more than two times higher for the following two weeks relative to the beginning of the year.

After that, the upcoming halving pushed fees up again, and the commission became on average two times higher relative to the March sell-off and five times higher relative to all 2020, excluding the abnormal March dates. Until now, a normal level of fees has not been recovered.
