Epic photo editing app is #1 in the US App Store 💣
This week, the AI-based app Epic went viral due to its ability to create a 90s-style yearbook with your photos. The app has risen to the top spot in the US App Store.
We decided to try it out and even created a hypothetical yearbook for Elon Musk 🕊
Here's how you can use it:
1️⃣ Download the Epic app from the App Store or Google Play.
2️⃣ Once you launch the app, select "AI Yearbook" and upload 8-10 high-quality photos of your choice.
3️⃣ Album generation is paid. You can get 60 stylized photos for $4, and the album will be ready in 24 hours. If you want it faster, the album will be ready in 2 hours for $6.
American Instagram users have been quick to jump on the trend, posting their stylized photos and updating their avatars. However, it remains to be seen whether the app will experience similar success in other countries, where there is no such culture of school yearbooks 🤔
Services for generating avatars and editing photos with AI are not new, but still very popular ⬆️
Take for instance the Lensa app, which allows users to create avatars in various styles and was a hit earlier this year.
Meanwhile, @fabula_dream_bot, which offers a similar service via Stable Diffusion on Telegram, reported 1.2 million users last week — a great result 💪
