⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️ Sam Altman Fired as CEO of OpenAI

Sam Altman has left his job as CEO of OpenAI. This happened after the board checked his work.

"Mr. Altman’s departure follows a deliberative review process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities," the company said in its blog post. "The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI."

Mira Murati, the technical director, will be the acting CEO for now. The company is looking for a new permanent CEO.

Steve Jobs was also fired from his own company, Apple, back in 1985. It's interesting to think if Sam Altman might be like Jobs in the future.
