Notion potrapyla do spysku top 50 ai startapiv za versiyeyu forbes
📱 In 2024, the productivity app Notion made it to Forbes' list of the top 50 most promising AI startups. We wrote about how the integration of AI has automated part of the work in Notion. The company's CEO, Ivan Zhao, talked about how the idea for Notion came about, why he showed a piece of paper during his pitch, and what AI features have been integrated into Notion.
👍 The Secret of Notion's Success
Notion is productivity software for persons or projects that can do just about everything. People use Notion to create text documents, manage knowledge bases and projects, and even write code. Notion was conceived as software that allows people to develop their tools, much like building with LEGO blocks.
⚡️ Who Inspired Ivan Zhao
In my final year of college, I read an article by computer science pioneer Douglas Engelbart (the inventor of the computer mouse) on augmenting human intellect. It was written in the 1960s but already discussed how people would be able to use computers to solve virtually any task in their lives.
⭐ Why He Showed Investors a Piece of Paper
When I went to see Josh Kopelman (one of the world's top 20 largest venture capital investors), we didn't even have a prototype yet. I came with a piece of paper, which amazed Josh. Paper is a universal material. You can write on it, print on it, or fold it into shapes. But software hasn't been able to do that yet, even with the advent of AI. The goal of Notion is to create such an information container that can be scaled, modified, and used even by children.
🛠 What AI Features Have Been Integrated into Notion
Today, there are three ways to use AI: writing and editing text (corrections, error checking, translation) in one window, managing and organizing databases and Kanban boards, and a new feature — AI Q&A, which can answer any question based on all the documents you've uploaded to Notion.
➡️ Available for Android and iOS.
