Summer is the perfect time to watch some great movies. We’ve curated a list of new releases in which artificial intelligence plays a starring role, either as a central plot element or as an independent character.
⭐️ The Creator. It is a film about the war between humans and robots with AI. A former soldier discovers a secret weapon — a "robot child" — that will change both sides' perceptions of humanity. The film, starring John David Washington, was nominated for two Oscars.
⭐️ Aire, Just Breathe. In 2147, humanity is on the brink of extinction due to a virus causing male infertility. Biologist Tanya, working on a solution with an AI named VIDA, faces a new challenge with the appearance of one of the last men, Azarias.
⭐️ Jung_E. This time, the war unfolds between planets inhabited by humans shortly. An android with a human brain dies in battle, but scientists restore its consciousness and create an AI capable of bringing ultimate victory.
⭐️ Robots. It's a witty comedy about a ladies' man and a gold digger. They illegally purchase robot doubles, who do all the preliminary work of seducing clients for them. But something goes wrong.
⭐️ The Beast. A French drama where AI controls life and human emotions are considered a threat. The main character, Gabrielle (Léa Seydoux), faces employment issues due to her emotionality. She decides to undergo a "DNA cleansing" procedure to rid herself of the ability to feel. But can an AI program conquer love?
Bonus: Robot Dreams. A touching animated film about the friendship between a lonely dog and a robot that accidentally rusted on the beach.
