🕊 Grok 2 Generates Images with Minimal Censorship
Yesterday, Elon Musk's company, xAI, introduced the beta version of the Grok-2 AI model. Today, early users reveal that the image generator Flux, integrated into Grok, operates with almost no censorship.
Flux was developed by the German startup Black Forest Labs, the same team that created the famous Stable Diffusion model. The startup has raised $31 million in investments and aims to make its image generation models open-source and widely accessible.
👮♂️ The lack of censorship is a deliberate choice. Musk's decision to partner with Black Forest Labs likely stems from the absence of restrictions on their AI models. Musk has made clear that he believes safeguards make AI models less safe. “The danger of training AI to be woke — in other words, lie — is deadly,” tweeted Musk.
Currently, Grok-2 allows for the creation of images that would be impossible with Google's Gemini or OpenAI's DALL-E.
