🎬 The Results of the First International AI Short Film Festival
Parallel to Italy's 81st Venice Film Festival, the Reply AI Film Festival was the first competition for short movies created using AI. The festival's theme was "Synthetic Stories, Human Hearts."
Over 1,000 authors from 59 nations submitted their works to the jury. There were four categories for submissions: narrative (38%), documentaries (36%), experimental films (14%), and pilots (12%).
💯 The jury included director Rob Minkoff, known for the animated film "The Lion King," producer Adam Kulik, and Paul Trillo, creator of the first music video made with Sora from OpenAI. There were a total of eleven members.
🥇 Director Giselle Tong's film "To Dear Me" won the Grand Prize. The movie explores a young woman's memories of her parents' divorce and her mother's loneliness. The post's video includes an excerpt from the film ⬆
