📱 How Gates Uses ChatGPT

The founder of Microsoft regularly uses ChatGPT to write articles and books, as OpenAI's model is an excellent "consultant" on a wide range of topics. Gates most often uses the "Meeting Summary" feature integrated into Microsoft Teams: ChatGPT analyzes video call transcripts and highlights the main ideas.

People don't need artificial intelligence (except for deepfakes) to create misleading materials. On the contrary, AI helps maintain a balance between truth and falsehood.

Misinformation is the one where I do think the younger generation is going to have to look at the tradeoffs between free speech and misinforming people.

🔋 No Energy Crisis

Like other tech companies, Microsoft is interested in finding clean energy sources to power its data centers, such as geothermal, nuclear, or fusion energy. But even if an extreme forecast comes true, the increase in energy consumption by data centers will be much less than 10%.

Given the complexity of scaling existing and new technologies, humanity will not achieve the 1.5-degree goal (referring to attempts to limit the average temperature increase on the planet). That is why innovations and AI tools will help people adapt to new climate conditions.
