😈 AI-Darth-Vader

James Earl Jones, a legendary Hollywood actor, starred in nearly 200 movies during his 60-year career. But his baritone was even more famous than his roles: Jones voiced Darth Vader in all the Star Wars movies. The actor recently passed away at 93, but his voice will live on forever — thanks to AI.

In his 91st year, Jones signed an agreement with Lucasfilm, the studio that produced the Star Wars series. The agreement allowed the use of AI and archival recordings of his voice after he stopped making movies.

☠️ Lucasfilm studio created AI-Darth Vader in collaboration with Ukrainian startup Respeecher AI, which specializes in "cloning" voices using archival recordings and machine learning technologies.

They successfully recreated Darth Vader’s famous "mechanical" voice from the 1977 version of the movie "Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope."

Before that, developers from Respeecher AI had resurrected the voice of a young Luke Skywalker for the TV series "The Book of Boba Fett."
