🍿 AI Premiere: the Movie Echo

"Echo" is a short movie created with the help of artificial intelligence. AIST, a small film studio in Los Angeles, recently released a film about a brilliant scientist. The movie took 2,5 months to make. 

🎞 About the film

This short film is 3,5 minutes long. The main character is a scientist-inventor interacting with AI. Amid some dramatic events, the protagonist is about to make a life-altering choice. Artificial intelligence tries to suggest a solution.

The movie is almost entirely made with the help of AI technology. The developers generated about 25,000 test images using Midjourney v6.1, modifying the prompts in ChatGPT-4o. They used Runway's updated Gen-3 Alpha video generator and Chinese Kling AI model to bring about 200 of the best images to life, needing more than 3,000 iterations. Still, only 90 frames made it into the movie's final version.

🔊 "AI-mom" and the main character Jeffrey were voiced by live American actors, one 60- and another 40-years-old. The film's creators had invited a real composer to write the music for the movie.
