🌐 The Future with AI: The World in 2030
The Wall Street Journal asked several leading experts and researchers from various fields to predict what the world would look like in 2030 and the development of AI. Not everyone thinks we will have AGI (General Artificial Intelligence) by then. However, most agree that humans and AI will be deeply interconnected in many areas.
💭 So, what might be in store for us in five years?
➡️ People no longer see AI as a new technology. It has become a part of everyday life, just as the internet in 2024. Many organizations have deeply integrated it into their structures, providing every employee with access to AI.
➡️ Half of the current Fortune 500 list has vanished, replaced by a wave of new trillion-dollar companies. Mass unemployment has not happened, but there has been a powerful transformation of the labor market due to the surge of productivity thanks to AI.
➡️ Every person has a self-learning AI assistant called PLAM — Personal Large Action Model. PLAM uses data from personal gadgets and other devices and performs various tasks, acting on our behalf. This AI assistant also interacts with CLAM — Corporate Large Action Models.
➡️ AI emotional companions have empathy, and it is commonplace to use them for friendship and romantic relationships, psychotherapy, and elderly care.
➡️ Robots have reached advanced levels of autonomy, making their own strategic decisions and interacting with each other via cloud communication. Humanoid robots perform tasks such as cleaning, delivering and preparing meals, and caring for children in homes and hospitals.
➡️ AI content has become so realistic that it is hard to distinguish it from that created by humans. This blurs the lines between reality and fiction even further.
Do you believe the world will be like this in just five years?
👍 — yes
🤔 — I doubt it!
