🔖 Save the Guide: How to Create Your Own Unique Style in Midjourney
Midjourney uses three key parameters: seed, stylize, and sref to maintain a consistent style across generations.
💡 Seed: Generating Similar Images
Every Midjourney generation has a seed—a numerical parameter determining the "initial noise" from which the AI model builds the image. You can find it by clicking the ✉️ button.
To generate a similar image next time, include the seed parameter after your prompt. For example: --seed 1126902108. Keep in mind that creating an exact copy of a previous generation is impossible.
🖌 Stylize: Adjusting Details
The level of detail is controlled by the stylize parameter, which ranges from 0 to 1000. The higher the value, the more creative freedom, and deviation from the prompt.
AI artists recommend experimenting with stylize while keeping the same seed. This allows you to tweak details without changing the overall composition.
🎨 Sref: Copying Styles
By adding a link to one or more images after the --sref parameter, you can replicate their style. Upload the image whose style you want to mimic to any photo-hosting service, such as Postimages, and copy its link in .png or .jpeg format into your prompt.
The value --sref random applies a random style. The strength of the applied style is controlled by the --sw parameter, which ranges from 0 to 1000 (default is 100).
Creating Your Own Style Library:
1️⃣ Generate images using the parameters --sref random --sw 1000 --stylize 0. To build a sufficient selection, you might need up to 100 generations.
2️⃣ Record the sref codes of your favorite images. Separate the codes with spaces to use multiple codes in one generation.
3️⃣ Test your chosen set of sref codes with different parameters and select the best combinations. You can now use this style in any future generation.
