👐 Sam Altman Reveals Company's Plans to Launch GPT-4.5 and GPT-5
Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, revealed on Tuesday the company's roadmap for launching GPT-4.5 and GPT-5 on X. These models will arrive soon, and the "reasoning" o-series models will be phased out.

"We hate the model picker as much as you do and want to return to magic unified intelligence," Altman says.
➡️ GPT-5 will be free for all users. Plus and Pro subscribers will have access to more powerful modes. The model will support voice chat, Canvas, search, and other features.
Earlier, Sam Altman also announced that free users will receive two requests per month for Deep Research, an AI agent for research based on o3. Plus subscribers will be given 10 uses per month.
