📱 Top 3 AI Innovations from MWC 2025
From March 3 to 6, tech giants and startups showcased their most cutting-edge innovations at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. Just like at CES earlier this year, the main focus of these innovations was on AI applications.
Here are three of the most interesting releases:
1️⃣ AI Phone. An AI-powered smartphone from Germany's Deutsche Telekom. The developers are promoting the concept of a "device without apps." At its core is the Magneta AI operating system, which integrates AI assistants and services such as Perplexity Assistant, Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs, and Picsart. The focus is on voice control—essentially, this is an AI agent capable of tasks like ordering a taxi or making purchases without switching between apps.
The AI Phone will cost at least $1,000.
2️⃣ Nothing Phone 3A/3A Pro. The new smartphone lineup from startup Nothing introduces a "second AI memory" feature called Essential Space for storing notes, photos, screenshots, and PDF files. AI algorithms process all the information from images and documents, providing ready-made "dossiers" organized by topics, categories, and dates.
For example, if you've saved numerous screenshots and photos of places you'd like to visit, as well as flight tickets and hotel bookings, the AI will sort everything into convenient folders and even create a to-do list to ensure you don't forget anything for your trip.
3️⃣ Motorola Smart Connect App. This app for wireless device pairing will receive new AI-powered voice control features within two weeks. Moto AI allows users to launch content streaming from their smartphone to a TV or transfer it to a PC or tablet with simple commands. The AI Search feature can locate files across any device connected to the ecosystem using natural language queries.
