🎨 Ideogram 3.0: A New AI Generator for Photorealistic Images and Logos
Canadian startup Ideogram has unveiled the latest version of its AI image generator. Ideogram 3.0 focuses on realism and is great at creating text, something the company's tools have always been good at.
The developers pitch Ideogram 3.0 as the best tool for designing covers, product photos, and branding.
Key Features:
🔜 According to professional designers, the model surpasses competitors across a wide range of prompts, so the developers claim. There are no independent tests, but many images generated by the new AI could indeed easily be mistaken for real photos or the work of professional 3D artists ⤴️
🔜 Advanced text generation: the model can create everything from short captions to entire text-based posters.
🔜 Style References: users can now provide up to three reference images, allowing the AI to capture nuances that are difficult to convey in words. There's also an option to select a random style, blending from 4.3 billion presets.
📎 You can try the model for free on the website.
The model is genuinely impressive. However, it remains unclear whether Ideogram can withstand the competition from emerging players like Reve Image and the increasingly popular image editing capabilities being integrated into text-based models. Even ChatGPT now generates images on par with "specialized" text-to-image models while offering the ability to refine details and correct minor nuances in the photos.
