The American startup Score Vision has developed an open source AI model that quickly and accurately analyzes football match videos and predicts their outcomes.
The AI model tracks player movements on the field, analyzes the data, and forecasts the game's results. The algorithms can process even low-quality videos—such as those from youth tournaments or amateur league matches, simulate different game scenarios, and evaluate the impact of each player.

The football industry is valued at $600 billion, with $50 billion in betting and another $30 billion in data services. AI-based predictions have the potential to revolutionize this sector.
Currently, analyzing just one minute of a football match manually can cost as much as $55 and requires up to four hours to complete. Score Vision can reduce these costs by 100x while improving speed and accuracy. As a result, the startup's technology is in high demand among betting companies: one major syndicate has already invested over $300 million.
In the future, Score Vision plans to train the AI to analyze tennis, basketball games, and other sports. However, the potential applications of this technology go far beyond sports. AI could revolutionize live broadcasting and video surveillance, including retail theft detection, predictive medical diagnostics, or even insurance disputes.
