👨‍🍳 A Restaurant with an AI Chef to Open in Dubai

This September, Dubai will welcome WOOHOO—the world's first restaurant where the menu is created by an AI named Chef Aiman, and humans cook according to its recipes.

🍽 How It Works

Chef Aiman is a large language model trained on food science, molecular composition of ingredients, and thousands of recipes from global cuisines. The AI even has a human-like appearance ⤴️ and hosts its own cooking podcast on YouTube.

Since the AI can't taste food directly, it crafts recipes based on factors like texture, acidity, and other characteristics of the ingredients.

Chef Aiman also focuses on reducing food waste by using ingredients that are often discarded in traditional restaurants, such as meat trimmings.

A team of chefs, led by renowned Dubai chef Reif Othman, perfects the AI's recipes. Their feedback is used to further improve the model.

"Human cooking will not be replaced, but we believe Aiman will elevate the ideas, creativity," says WOOHOO co-founder Ahmet Oytun Cakir.

In the future, the founders plan to license Chef Aiman to restaurants worldwide.
