📱 YouTube Will Guess User's Age Using AI

YouTube will start using machine learning to estimate a user's age and set appropriate restrictions. Testing will begin in the U.S. in the coming weeks.

The AI will monitor the types of videos and categories a user is interested in, as well as the age of their profile.

If the algorithm suspects that a viewer is under 18, they will automatically fall under restrictions: personalized advertising will be turned off, they'll be banned from repeatedly watching certain videos, and of course, access to "adult" content will be blocked.

So if a user claiming to have been born in 1960 watches Minecraft and Roblox let's plays or Labubu reviews, that will probably raise a red flag.

You can remove the restrictions by providing a credit card or a copy of your ID.
