💼 53% of People are Annoyed by Colleagues Using AI at Work

According to a study conducted by Stanford and BetterUp Labs, an increasing number of employees are using AI to generate work content that appears to be decent but is actually useless. Researchers call this phenomenon workslop, which is analogous to AI slop, or meaningless AI content on the internet.

➡️ In 40% of cases, workslop comes from colleagues, while managers contribute 16%.

➡️ Reviewing a single case takes an average of 1 hour 56 minutes. Companies face a "AI tax" of $186 per employee per month.

➡️ More than half of respondents perceive colleagues who use AI as less creative, 42% trust them less, and 37% even consider them stupid.

➡️ When faced with low-quality AI content, 53% are irritated, 38% are confused, and 22% are offended by their colleagues' behavior.

➡️ More than a third of people don't want to keep working with someone who sends them workslop.

Researchers are still conducting the study, and you may participate by taking the survey here.

Do you encounter useless AI content at work?

🔥 — yes, it's annoying!
❤️ — no, we're solid
