🎮 Fortnite Players Accuse Epic Games of Using AI

Gamers think they've spotted classic AI artifacts in the in-game images in the newly released Chapter 7—including a yeti with a different number of toes on each foot.

The main argument: a company making millions should be paying real artists, not relying on AI-generated artwork.

One of the project's artists stepped in to defend Chapter 7. For one image players insisted was AI-made, Sean Dove shared a Procreate timelapse showing the full creation process—proof that the artwork was his.

But that didn't calm anyone down. Players are still posting evidence on Reddit, and the most frustrated fans are even calling for a boycott.

🤷‍♂️ Epic Games' Response

Epic has neither confirmed nor denied whether AI was used. But just a day before the launch, CEO Tim Sweeney said Steam and other platforms shouldn't label games that use AI, because the technology "will be involved in nearly all future production."

Should AI be used in game development?

❤️ — Yes, if the quality stays high
🔥 — No, it's deceptive
😐 — Doesn't matter, it's inevitable
