Gore Verbinski, the director of the first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, hasn’t released anything in 9 years, but his new movie Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die is already being tipped for major success.

A homeless-looking protagonist bursts into an L.A. diner with a wild announcement: he's from the future, AI has gone rogue, and the random patrons inside have to save the world.

Following festival screenings, the film hit 94% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics are already calling it a bonkers mix of Terminator 2, Groundhog Day, and Everything Everywhere All At Once.
