💡 Elon Musk at Davos: AGI, Robot Nannies, and Aliens
By 2030, AI capabilities will exceed the collective intelligence of all humanity, Elon Musk stated at the World Economic Forum. He believes that AI will surpass human intelligence by the end of this year.
Key highlights from Musk's talk:
✅ The end of poverty. Automation will make goods as cheap as possible. "Universal High Income" will replace traditional welfare as resource scarcity disappears.
✅ The search for aliens. Musk joked that he is an alien, adding that SpaceX has over 9,000 satellites in orbit and has never had to maneuver around an extraterrestrial spacecraft.
✅ The era of robots. Tesla plans to begin sales of the Optimus in late 2027. By 2040, their population will reach 10 billion—surpassing the current human population on Earth.
"Who wouldn't want a robot to, assuming it's very safe, watch over your kids, take care of your pets?" Musk asked.
Would you want one?
