💬 GPT-5.6 Is Here. But You Can't Use It Yet

Apparently, after Anthropic's experience with the effective U.S. federal government block on Claude Fable, OpenAI is rolling out GPT-5.6 in a closed preview available only to trusted developers.

The company expects a public release within the next few weeks.

⚡️ The new naming scheme also feels very Claude-like. GPT now has three separate model families inspired by the Solar System:

✅ Sol: The most powerful model, on par with Claude Mythos.
✅ Terra: A balanced model at the GPT-5.5 level for half the price.
✅ Luna: A fast and affordable model for everyday tasks.

At least according to the benchmarks, it promises an incredible leap forward. But what it's actually like, we can't test yet.
