Shinjuku, the modern center of Tokyo, is 10 km from the Imperial Palace. The area is divided by railway tracks into two parts: Higashi-Shinjuku (Eastern part) and Nishi-Shinjuku (Western part). Higashi-Shinjuku is an area full of entertainment and shopping.
