This exceptional beach gets its striking color thanks to microscopic animal foraminifera, which emit red pigment on coral reefs. For this reason, it is called Red Beach in the local language. When tiny fragments of red coral are combined with white sand, a soft pink color is obtained, which is visible along the coastline.
