The Kula volcanoes and their surroundings between the Kula and Salikhli districts have a volcanic geological structure and were declared a member of the UNESCO Network of Geoparks in 2013. 

The zoo has a wide variety of natural formations that were formed under the influence of temperature fluctuations, rain, wind and erosion: The fabulous chimneys of Kula create a magnificent landscape with their pastel tones and fantastic relief in the Gediz Valley.
