Rare hydrozoan jellyfish of timoides genus discovered
ଳ RARE HYDROZOAN ଳ
This is a hydrozoan jellyfish of the RARE Timoides genus! Thought to be an undescribed species!
Very little is known surrounding the majority of the species within this genus! Timoides agassizii for example, was first seen in 1902 and then not again until about a century later in 2009/2011! It’s very difficult to study a species if you can’t find it 🤷🏼♂️
This individual was spotted by Ryo Minemizu and the bell was about 15mm/0.5in wide/tall!
