DO JELLYFISH HAVE A BRAIN 🧠 ?

Here you can see the Blob Top Jellyfish (Neoturris breviconis) with what looks like a brain 🧠! However, what you can see is actually the jellies gonads

Instead of a brain, jellyfish have a neural net and specialised sensory structures called rhopalia which contain their eyes and statoliths!

The neural net of a jellyfish is quite interesting! Most people assume that the neurons are spread equally throughout the jellies body, but, most species show some degree of neural condensation generally around their rhopalia, hence serving as an integrative nervous system!
