6 of the 7 species of marine turtles that exist on our beautiful planet are endangered. Some of the main threats they face include:
🐟 Accidentally getting caught in fishing gear such as nets or hooks
🪥 Accidentally ingesting plastic (often mistaking it for food such as jellyfish)
🪸 Their habitat being destroyed because of intensive fishing and climate change
