Мая бей після відновлення приймає туристів у обмеженому режимі
In 2018, local authorities decided to close Maya Bay to give nature and wildlife some time to recover from years of intensive tourism. After 4 years, the bay is now welcoming visitors again in what feels like a much more respectful setting – with daily visitor limits, no swimming and a boardwalk to prevent damage to sand and plants.
Wish more governments would adopt similar approaches to protect and restore some of the world’s most degraded ecosystems. Nature can heal so beautifully if we give her time and space to do so 🌊🐚
