Did you know adult wombats grow to about a metre long, and can weigh up to 40kg? That’s roughly the same as a medium-sized dog.

Getting off at the Ronny Creek Stop on the bus that takes you from the main visitor carpark into Cradle Mountain park itself is the best way to do it! There will be wombats surrounding the boardwalks in every direction you look! We easily saw about 20 of them just in this tiny stretch of the park.
Even if you can’t hike or are short on time, all of these wombats are located near the bus stop along the beginning of the walks- so it’s flat 🤩 »
