The Emerald Coast refers to a stretch of approximately 100 miles (160 km) along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, encompassing five counties - Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, and Bay. This area includes several popular beaches such as Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Fort Walton Beach, Destin, and Panama City Beach. While the name is unofficial, it is widely recognized in this region. Additionally, some communities located in Baldwin County in south Alabama, including Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan, also adopt the Emerald Coast moniker.
