A photographer on this gorgeous solitary bee she observed in her garden:

“For some reason this amegilla chlorocyanea female (and 3 others previously) spends her night roosting on the knobby club rush rather than in a nesting burrow… she won’t be around much longer as she’s quite old now, but it will be interesting to see if the next generation females roost here as well.” 🐝
