Flying gurnard can glide through water using large pectoral fins

Have you ever heard of the Flying Gurnard? It is a fish species found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans 🐟

Despite its name, the Flying Gurnard cannot truly fly, but it has the ability to “glide” through the water using its large pectoral fins, which resemble wings. These fins can also be used as a form of defense, by fanning them out to make the fish appear larger and more intimidating to predators.
