Ctenophores comb jellies create rainbow colors in the ocean

Ctenophores, known as Comb Jellies, can be discovered across the globe and are closely related to Jellyfish. Their name originates from the amalgamation of their cilia, referred to as combs, which they employ for swimming. Interestingly, these combs create a mesmerizing display of rainbow colors in the accompanying video. This captivating spectacle is formed as light refracts through their cilia. Unlike Jellyfish, one key differentiation of Comb Jellies is their absence of stinging cells known as nematocysts.
