Baja california sur serve as key habitat for mobula rays in sea of cortez

Baja California Sur is an important marine ecosystem for mobula rays. These rays will aggregate in the Sea of Cortez each spring and summer — forming groups that number into the thousands. They come here to feed, mate, reproduce, and raise their young.
The region also serves as a home or “resting waters” for a wide variety of other large marine animals including dolphins, sharks, humpbacks, blue whales, and, orcas.
