A pika is a small mammal that resides in mountains, native to Asia and North America. It has short limbs, a round body, uniform fur, and lacks an external tail. Resembling rabbits, they also possess short, rounded ears. The Himalayan pika, with its distinctive large ears, inhabits elevations over 6,000 m (20,000 ft) in the Himalayas and neighboring peaks.
