Are there psychedelic jellyfish?

Of all the jellies that call the ocean's midnight zone home, the psychedelic jelly (Crossota millsae) is one of the most stunning. Its wildly colorful appearance—ruby red, bright orange, and electric purple—first tipped off scientists that they had found a previously unknown species.More species continue to be discovered as scientists push into the deep, dark corners of the ocean. Recently, a team from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute captured footage of a rare psychedelic jellyfish in the midnight zone of the Pacific's Monterey Canyon.
