A kermode bear native to BC’s Great Bear Rainforest scouts the river looking for salmon.
The kermode or spirit bear is one of the rarest bears in the world. It’s a black bear with creamy white fur which is produced by a recessive gene. They live along the central and north coast of Canada’s westernmost province.
