This capybara was seen in the Pantanal of Brazil after emerging from a waterhole covered in aquatic plants.

As the world’s largest rodent, capybaras spend much of their time in the water to stay cool and avoid land predators like jaguars, while also being cautious of aquatic threats such as caimans.

Their dense fur and oily skin help repel water, but floating vegetation often sticks to them as they swim and forage.
